The process

From first message to delivered door

  1. Tell us what you needSend a photo, plans, opening details, or just a description. No measurements required to start — we can help you work out what the opening needs.
  2. Receive multiple product and pricing optionsWe source from more than one manufacturer and present suitable options at different price points, with the specification and product-approval documentation for each.
  3. Review and approve the product specificationsYou or your chosen contractor verify and approve final measurements, handing, swing, jamb depth, wall conditions, and any local code or permit requirements. Impact ratings and approvals are matched to your specific jurisdiction and project.
  4. Pay securelyDeposit and balance are handled through secure payment. Sales tax is calculated based on the transaction and destination.
  5. PDA places the order and coordinates shippingProducts may ship directly from the manufacturer or through an appropriate freight or delivery provider. Availability, freight charges and delivery method depend on the product, manufacturer and destination.
  6. Choose your own contractorUse any qualified contractor you like. If you’d prefer a starting point, we can provide the names of independent contractors in select markets — you contract with them directly.

PDA does

Helps you identify the product you need. Sources from multiple manufacturers and suppliers. Presents suitable options at different price points. Supplies custom iron and steel doors, impact and non-impact entry doors, specialty doors and related products. Provides product information, documentation, ordering assistance and shipping coordination. Accepts secure deposits and payments.

PDA does not

Employ, supervise or collect payment for recommended contractors. Guarantee the work, scheduling or availability of independent contractors. Take responsibility for final measurements supplied by the customer or their contractor. Guarantee permit or code approval by a local authority. Guarantee freight cost, delivery method or lead time before the order is quoted.

Before an order is placedThe customer or their chosen licensed contractor must verify and approve final measurements, handing, swing, jamb depth, wall conditions, product specifications and applicable permit or code requirements.
